D.C. Brody, G.W. Gibbons - Cone Geometry in Statistical Mechanics

The idea of a convex cone is a very simple one, but it has a surprisingly large number of applications in both mathematics and physics. This talk will cover an elementary introduction to the geometry of convex homogeneous cones. A natural connection to the information geometry of statistical mechanics arises in this context, which will also be discussed. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
